Is the screen bright enough for taking pictures in the sun?

Thanks! Looked into the Z50 but it doesn't have USB-C and the Z50 II is out of my budget. Probably going to go with the Z30 and 3D print a sun hood.

Is the lack of a viewfinder bad? It looks like the perfect camera for me, but most people seem critical of the lack of an EVF which is somewhat dissuading.

Beautiful picture!
Just came across this while searching Bluesky for the Nikon Z30. If you dang mind me asking, have you had any problems with the Z30? I'm considering buying it with a kit lens.

Are they spiced? Or just tomato?
May 22, 2025 at 2:30 AM
I assume that means they're tomato flavored?

Ketchup chips?

For example, if you had a home server running an LLM, it could go down in the middle of the night so all computing resources could be dedicated towards training.

I totally agree with you, sleep is such as interesting concept. I feel like there's no point to having downtime though, considering that it's not like the model becomes impossible to use just because a machine somewhere is training it, unless you mean the server running the LLM going down.

osx-kvm?

I would go through the interactive Svelte tutorial if you haven't used it before. It's pretty good, and Svelte 5 changed a lot with reactivity. If you're reading old guides or tutorials, make sure to migrate the code to Svelte 5 (Svelte's VS Code extension has a command to auto-migrate).

I feel like that's where something like Svelte works well though since as far as I know, it compiles directly to vanilla JS without a virtual DOM.

I agree; I read through it after seeing it on HN, but I do wonder, if you're adding routing, components, and similar functionality manually, aren't you still using a framework in a sense?

How can you get paid for consuming electricity though?
May 11, 2025 at 1:29 PM
How does the cost become negative? Does that mean you need to be feeding energy into the grid, with solar, for example?

Congrats!

What would that look like though? What parallels do AI models have to carbon-based life that the concept of sleep could be applied to them? Definitely sounds interesting though.

Deep learning?

I completely agree, I have great memories playing The Cycle with some of my friends. Proximity chat was also amazing.

Interesting! One suggestion I have is maybe to set up duplicate issue identification to prevent the same bug from being reported multiple times.

Better yet, make this the standard for bakeries to wrap their bread in. Bonus points if it’s a different type of bread than what it’s wrapping.

I still remember when in elementary school, one of teachers (might have been in-training) marked one of my answers wrong with a checkmark. This was in the US, so I was rather confused, as I had never encountered this.
