People gotta eat. Food doesn't appear by magic. Creating food requires labor.
Especially creating it at the scale necessary to feed everyone, and especially distributing it.

Having the results of your labor disconnected from oneself is inevitable the instant you need to make anything that requires the expertise of more than one person.
