I’m not sure Paton and Tolaj got on , when he got back in the side after Tolaj left Paton remarked that it was nice not to be playing with a selfish strike partner

I wonder who Carol uses as a soundboard regarding a replacement now we have no director of football? She admits to knowing nothing about the football side , so it’s a business decision regarding money for her

That formation will kill us , changing players every week won’t change that fact, Id rather he played 4-5-1 even at home if it meant we had some genuine width and got some balls into the box , I had a bet with the wife that with 15 minutes left their keeper wouldn’t make a save , abysmal

Great performance to get it too , few quizzical looks at the team sheet beforehand but to a man they deserved that win (Shiperley’s set piece delivery aside) special mention for Brown who showed why he’s at the club for the first time

Port vale fan here , he’s still raw only one season out of non league but he has the attitude and raw ability to become a top championship striker imo

You were excellent first half glad we showed enough spirit and fight to pretty much dominate the second half but we’re learning some very harsh lessons atm

I was worried before the game just a random selection reminiscent of last year when we were poor , we could have been 2 up at half time but that second half performance was abysmal against as you say a poor Doncaster side , the substitutions just seemed to confuse things even more

He got it so wrong first half at Rotherham but since he’s trusted us to play football we’ve been great

Hall getting all the ball and going long to Stockley first half was our downfall and left Tolaj lost out on the right . Much better when we trust ourselves with the ball , deserved a draw , better side even when we a man down in the second half
