Not convinced you can write him off just yet. Injury was huge but massively unfortunate. I’m sure it was could be as early as Brentford but likely late Nov / early December but sure lots of different reports. Hopefully he’ll avoid Cup of Nations but we’ll wait and see.

Tino nearly back is huge

Hasn’t it always been late November / early December, also hasn’t has pre-season so not expecting too much from him yet?
November 21, 2025 at 12:14 PM
I also should have mentioned, that the recent events of the Tommy Robinson rally, and Kirk / Kimmel fiasco are driving the narrative and argument, isn’t the article a response to that?
September 23, 2025 at 11:07 AM
Im really not clear on if you disagree with him and why? Or if it’s more to the point that he’s quoting Reform etc? What is your position? Do you want more free speech, less? Do you think the laws are about right? How do you think we tackle free speech online?
September 23, 2025 at 11:03 AM
I think the reason he only mentions the right is it’s the right that are shouting about free speech so loudly, he’s putting forward the argument that what they really want is ‘me speech’. I don’t think the left are being hypocritical like the right?
September 23, 2025 at 11:03 AM
Yeah, I suppose that’s why I mentioned Lewis Hall, lots of people around the world have different connections.

Completely agree the Ashley years were a shit show, but before that I think we had some world reach. You’d like to think we are starting to grow a Brazilian fan base now
September 22, 2025 at 11:13 AM
I don’t think in the 90’s, maybe even the 80’s people thought this way. Everyone supporting Newcastle, wanted them to be the biggest/ best club in the world. How do we compete with PSG and Barca, if you don’t embrace a global fan base?
September 22, 2025 at 10:39 AM
I don’t think that’s true. Lewis Hall is a glaringly obvious example. Also, surely lots from the west coast, who don’t want to support a Manchester or Liverpool team, and perhaps from the borders, who all might see Newcastle as a ‘local’ team.
September 22, 2025 at 10:39 AM
@lewisgoodall.com what are your thoughts on the allegations that the killer was part of the far right Goyper movement?

There seems to be some compelling indications that he was indeed far right, could this be the case, or is it misinformation? None of the news outlets even mention the possibility.

Which program was this? I’d like to hear the context. I heard him on the radio today and didn’t pick up on this at all
September 11, 2025 at 9:02 PM
You can’t really compare the two, football contracts and transfers don’t really equate to employment. It’s a specific trade with specific practices and governing rules.

Also it’s not about a promotion, career move or pay rise, it’s about going to another company.

I’m not sure Brentford wouldn’t think it will hold water, more likely they feel Wissa isn’t go take pursue it. Lot of money at stake, not often these matters will be pursued legally.
August 31, 2025 at 10:45 AM
We do know nothing was written down and agreed, so in effect no promise given. We know they’ll have talked about it, Mitchell may have said something, but his agent should have got it in writing straight away. Bit different if the clubs have confirmed the agreement in writing
August 31, 2025 at 10:42 AM
How do you know he won’t show the written proof? He’s not going to put that in a statement. Have Brentford denied it’s true?
August 31, 2025 at 10:39 AM
If he has a written agreement that they will let him go with an offer of ‘c’ amount doesn’t that override the contract?
August 31, 2025 at 10:33 AM
On the face of it I do feel a bit sorry for Wissa, he’s agreed a written contract with the club, and then Brentford have broken that agreement and let public think it’s the other way round.

if that isn’t the case you would expect Brentford to come out and say he’s lying

I don’t think Mainoo is an improvement on Miley or JJ. Mainoo is another development player, Fratessi would be much better back up
August 30, 2025 at 6:13 AM
Is Strand Larsen still possible?
August 23, 2025 at 6:24 AM
Article 17 doesn’t apply. This is complete rubbish
August 21, 2025 at 11:19 AM
I’m not sure I understand the big deal with the socials. It is literally just social media. Doesn’t compare in the slightest to not training and not playing.
August 19, 2025 at 6:32 AM
It’s only Instagram. It’s nothing compared to refusing to play.

It would be better if the players came out and made a statement. But telling whoever runs their Insta to remove the link to Brentford isn’t too bad in the grand scheme of it all
August 18, 2025 at 4:48 PM
Where people singing ‘we want ‘are’ country back’?
August 16, 2025 at 8:59 PM
Isak refused the contract re-negotiation. Him and his agent are trying everything to force the move. Not sure what NUFC should be doing differently? Can’t train with the team if he doesn’t want to play. And players need some sanctions if they decide not to train or play.
August 14, 2025 at 6:39 AM
If at any point someone had offered 150 he would have gone. he’d likely still go if someone offered 150, but there are no real replacement options.

If LFC hadn’t have gone in for Ekitike, Isak would be a Liverpool player by now. No fuss. All the chat should have ended there until the next window

I thought we had moved on and signed Thiaw?
