offers co-operative worker involvement with the option of share schemes etc, so the average employee can have at least some kind of financial stake within the organisation they work for. Either way, nice to see the Labour Govt increase min wage at least, among other things 🙂 3/3

just so that there is a working example. But one would assume that once a nation state has control of all of the economy, with no private sector to balance it, then authoritarianism becomes highly likely, no matter how "democratic" the branding is. And in a way, some of the private sector kind of 2/

Indeed, and I suspect there's a strong reason why this kind of thing has only ever worked in authoritarian states! Just a thought experiment really, and the politics nerd in my would like to see a working example of democratic communism at nation scale... 1/

I don't agree with everything Sultana stands for, and there are some red flags for me (pardon the pun). But I am curious as to how a completely nationalised economy plays out. Maybe medium-large businesses would resemble the John Lewis model. More tricky for small businesses though i guess.
