I heard pro-Ukrainian commentators saying the minerals Trump wants are in parts of Ukraine that are under Russian occupation, so Trump would have to keep backing Ukraine to regain the territory where the minerals are.
Interested to hear opinions on this from anyone with specific knowledge.
