Disappointed that we’re getting 60% less Iain. I enjoy that smaller stories get coverage here and I hope that cutting the “inventory” doesn’t harm that side of things. I’d hate to see this slide into the standard twice-weekly talk about Liverpool and Arsenal that we already get so much of elsewhere.

Yeah this is pretty much true. I will add though that often if the victim isn’t interested in prosecution, the prosecutors may decide not to pursue charges. It’s not a surefire thing in either direction, but the victim’s opinion regarding prosecution can influence the DA decision.

This is also how it works in the states, to be fair. Just replace 'CPS' with 'DA'.

This suggests you don’t watch a lot of soccer. The VAR system is sooooooo much worse than the challenge systems in the “big four” leagues.
