Well written piece, I think what enabled this right wing messaging was we had ZERO messaging from Whitehouse for 4 years. Biden hid in the basement and never had any public engagement. This created an information vacuum that media was happy to fill with trump noise .

I suspect it’s because most news sites are short term profit rather than information or politically motivated . So they push inflammatory content that generates clicks , and most Americans aren’t educated enough to care what’s outside our borders .

I think the big reason why threads has failed is it’s a closed off hole like IG, it’s difficult to share to and from it
