Some offerings for your #bloomscrolling Seattle color seen on my last visit a month ago. The rhododendrons were spectacular. I’m now a big fan.

It’s happening here. Spring is blooming. Gorgeous pink breadseed poppy (not native), chaparral mallow blossoms, nasturtium and matilija poppy. As seen in the garden this weekend. #californianativeplants

I’m happy with how this prototype is going. Crossbody to be made using scrap pieces. Fine tuning the placket size and strap placement has been the biggest hurdle.

Can’t wait for the #matilija poppies to pop. It’s so exciting to see the display every spring. They have spread into the side yard now and this year’s bloom will be astounding. #californianativeplants

Finished up this chip bag tote. I have collected chip bags for months now for this project. Mid temp ironed together and quilted with felt and cotton backing. The strap is my first attempt at belt weaving. What do you think of the result? #zerowaste #sustainablefabric #sewing #fiberart

Snapped this last spring in #santafe the light through the colors is vivid you can almost hear the rustle of the fabric.

Found this beautiful mantis under our spare tire for the trailer. I love when gritty Los Angeles reminds me that it’s still a habitat regarded of our BS behavior. #mantis #bugsofbluesky #nature

As seen in my mom’s yard in Pasadena. She’s cultivated a forest of cacti/sage and succulents. This big blooming mama demanded a pic.

Finally my Ribes sanguineum is showing signs of life. I think I planted it over a year ago. Can’t wait for her to grow into full glory. #californianativeplants #nativegardening #ediblenatives

Love this Haworthiopsis reinwardtii as seen at my friend’s house. The rusty colors are otherworldly. #succulents #haworthia

This wool sock had a hole in heel. I cut off the foot and now have a sweet lil chicken coozy for my oats. What are you making for brekkie? Mine is oats/flax/chia/nutbutter #reuse #morningoats #breakfastofchamps

My #thriftbooks order arrived. Can't wait to read these #nativegardening books. An entire book on #salvias! maybe I'll figure out why my pitcher sage is so bummed out.
