Cracking night at Storyhouse last night, seeing @katiespencermusic.bsky.social perform as part of the Blue Lantern series of gigs. Particularly liked the collaboration with Igloo Hearts. Katie is a #FolkattheLodge favourite and we look forward to having her back.

We did the 10.5 miles from Mouldsworth finishing at the Station Tap Room

Will definitely do this again .. growing courgettes vertically. It's a bit fiddly tying them in, but well worth it .. so much easier to look after, and they take up less space.

Happy days .. after years & years of being on copper (not even to the cabinet), we've jumped straight onto 'fibre to the premises' Superfast Broadband .. 8Mbs/0.6mbps to 300Mbs/50Mbps .. we're in the 21stC at last. Thanks to @samanthadixonmp.bsky.social for supporting us in this.

Now we're thinking what we could repurpose them as 🤔.

The Thomas Brassey statue by Andy Edwards at Chester Station, and commissioned by the the Thomas Brassey Society, was unveiled yesterday by Prince Richard, Duke of Gloucester. A long time in coming and well worth checking out. An early engagement for the New Lord Mayor, Cllr Sherin Akhtar, too.

Check out the new 'Art in the Park' addition in the #CountessofChesterCountryPark. This metal Dragonfly sculpture over the reed bed was commissioned by @friendscoccp.bsky.social from local artist Russell Kirk and is a male Common Darter.

As part of the VE Day 80th Anniversary, on Thurs 8th May @ 11am, you are invited to join the @friendscoccp.bsky.social at The Friendly Bench for tea & cakes. Then at noon they will be joining with others from across the nation in observing a two minute silence in memory of those who gave the lives.
