Very cool, in Gloucester we use the presence of the Cheltenham sand and gravel as a possible indicator of palaeolithic material but it's very ad hoc. One day we'll improve

We weren't stunned. We had a desk based assessment which which said 'its a churchyard' then an evaluation which found human burials. I've rarely been less stunned.

I will be involved on Wednesday the 17th between 7.15-8.00pm discussing recent efforts to reinterpret and explain the contested history of George Whitefield in St Mary De Crypt Church. Thought provoking stuff and an issue to be found in many a church and public building.

Hi there, so currently the post excavation work is ongoing. This includes osteological examination of the human remains. So no reburial as yet. As for where the reburial will, ultimately, take place - I'm afraid I don't know. I would approach the UoG if you're keen to find out.
