Having lived in the Australian outback, I have seen and even been hit by numerous dust-devils (we call then willy willies). I imagine the martian ones are a bit thinner

I think what he's saying is no-one is getting any check for $2000, unless they're high income people. I can deduce this based on everything he's ever said before.

Actually think it might be the opposite. Trump made the GOP a populist party. With him gone there will be a complete vacuum of talent and capability. It is pretty clear that no GOP senator is their own opinion on anything. MAGA will be over.

There is a general speed limit of 250kts below 10,000ft - which is about half the speed you would fly at 30,000ft. Fuel economy does drop due to drag at lower altitudes, but the cost of being late is probably worse.

Yeh, doesn't pass the sniff test. Panel efficiency, atmospheric dispersion, night mist etc all seem too much. I'm not sure a solar farm could produce enough electricity to run itself with the RO thing. Are those 2K satellites to light up just one solar farm at a time?

So how do you lobby someone like Gates - to get him to understand how much climate change will affect health and population wellbeing in the relatively near future? Polls around the world show the vast majority of people are worried about climate change. UN: climatepromise.undp.org/news-and-sto...
The world’s largest survey on climate change is out – here's what the results show | UNDP Climate Promise
We break down the results of Peoples’ Climate Vote 2024, representing 87 percent of the global population.

The reliance on billionaires to spend their wealth in the "right" direction is a big problem. Taxed properly, the public can vote to decide how that money is spent.

To me, THIS is the issue. One (wealthy) guy getting far too much coverage on a topic he is not a go-to guy for. He says "climate change is important, but let's not drop our focus on health while we tackle it", and that gets turned into all kinds of rhetoric about climate change.

Like me? I'm a bit far away to "overtop" (I'm not sure what that means) him. I think you guys are actually doing the right thing - protests, courts, last weekends polls etc - to resist this horrific administration. And it does seem bluesky is starting to be noticed...

The idea that millionaires only spend their money in the local neighbourhood is quite special.

I don't know if you've noticed, but Trump is not capable of telling the truth. Of course there will be US officials there. Just none of his 'top' officials (a good thing).

No other country goes on and on so much about the cost of healthcare. From afar, US health looks a horrendously expensive 1st class shambles. The fix is so easy - almost every other country in world has a far better system that can be used as a template.

That's insane. Who in their right mind will buy a new device from Wacom knowing that? Huion had a similar problem a few years ago but got it sorted.

The city with the largest Jewish population in the world just voted in a Muslim mayor. Maybe the ADL should have a think about that.
