The layers and layers of lies we’ve been exposed to are overwhelming. I’ve researched narcissism, the illusory Truth Effect, the psychology of polarization, and Plato’s Cave. I’ve considered how different cultures, religions, and philosophies deal with intentional lies.

Playing around with a Dahlia flower. I shot this in an antique metal funnel inspired by Weston's peppers. This is the result of 29 images, stacked in Helicon Focus, and then processed in Nik Software and edited in Photoshop. #dahlia #blackandwhite #niksoftware #flowerphotography

Creating images isn’t easy—I overthink and chase technique. But often my best work comes unexpectedly. Today, after a break, I played with an old Christmas tree stand, reflections, and layers. Color wasn’t working, but in black and white, the piece finally came alive.
