2/2 I bet your vintage Peacock is just like those letters of long ago.

I bet it's wonderful. Once I had a look at Iroshizuku Kon-Pecki, I was reminded of my aunt's letters to our family during the 70's; written with a fountain pen and (now I know thanks to you, and a year of looking at blue inks), those letters had fantastic shading. 1/2

I now spend hours cruising the shading and shimmering inks, thanks to you. 😯😁 (And I don't even have a pen yet, but I will. Oh yes I will.)

Have been using a cheap disposable fountain pen that doesn't have either a fine point or shady ink, and bleeds on many papers, so paper recs also welcome.

I've been reading up on inks (and nibs)as a left hander who prefers a very fine point. The thing that draws me to fountain pens is that shaded look of the ink, where some areas are darker than others, like watercolor paints. Recommendations for both are welcome.

Did you go over the lettering with darker ink in places, or is it some kind of ink magic?
