Can usually be found in Hathersage, Brentford, Manchester or Sheffield.
His three penalty goals flatter his goal scoring tally so far this season, but as a Brentford fan I’m not complaining.

You would think they would be warming to him.

Good article on the challenges of train WiFi. on.ft.com/3XoSFwV Will train WiFi ever work?

I’d stopped listening to 6 Music a while ago, but switched it on again the other day and was bracing myself for this and sure enough the news bulletin led with immigration, so switched off again. Shame because, news aside, it’s such a good station.

With Liverpool joining Man Utd in having their “worst defeat” at the Gtech this season, do we think that there could be an alternative narrative that Brentford are quite good at making expensively assembled teams look quite bad?

I was struck by the Greens leader’s video the other day that showed him out and about interacting with people on the street. I get the feeling that not many politicians, especially on the right, do this anymore and instead live in an online bubble.

Has anyone looked at Land Registry details for the price paid by Omaze vs value promoted by Omaze for the properties? Do they buy the house before the draw starts and then transfer ownership when the prize is won?

In Our Time. It has weekly episodes during a couple of length seasons a year. But over 1,000 archive episodes to work through. open.spotify.com/show/17YfG23...

Probably ordered by three letter ISO code behind the scenes as others are out of order too.

Agreed. He actually does some really good interviews on his 6 Music show. Good, relevant questions and allows guests to talk. Would be interesting to let him try out for it.

I do enjoy the ones where Melvyn is obviously enjoying it and where he challenges some of the more “academic” points and gets them out of their ivory towers.

More like Robin Hood. Though actually the DoF Phil Giles is the one who does the deals, and is a former St James Park season ticket holder.

I had to check that Camden number as it seemed really low. But it turns out it’s correct, but only around 15% of the council’s income was through Council Tax - hadn’t realised the contribution through that was so low. So I learnt something new, thank you.

Always stepped up and performed when required. Very much an unsung hero (and the last of the Mads!). Will be missed. 🫡

Where does PSR / FFP lead us to in the medium term? Will it entrench the position of the “big 6” who have significantly larger commercial / match day revenues? Is there a better way to make the Premier League more competitive, eg. Squad Cost Ratios / anchoring or is that just more of the same?

Definitely want to see him go and get some quality minutes. And hopefully he’ll be pushing for a regular spot in 26/27.

It’s like yield management in the airline business. The closer to the start of the season it gets, the higher the price goes. Ratcliffe is far too used to dealing with distressed assets than premium assets.

I don’t think they missed the deadline as there’s reports of bids being made. It seems like they didn’t meet the criteria for the release clause, which is quite different and I’m not sure if the terms of that release clause were fully made known to interested parties.

Interesting. Norgaard is a player who I notice more when he’s not playing, which is meant as a compliment. I don’t really see a like for like replacement within the current squad and Antoni Milambo, who seems to be linked, is more attack minded, so who would you suggest?

I love the way he brings focus, depth and mood through his photos to all the stories he’s involved with.

I’m assuming that Brentford are following multiple paths; seeing what sort of a coaching team they could assemble around Keith Andrews, while also sounding out some experienced coaches such as Farioli or Terzic?
