Fun fact on this Wimbledon Men’s Final Day:

The world’s oldest tennis court can be found at Falkland Palace in Scotland.

It was built by King James V in 1539 and is still used to this day.

(James features in The Dance of Vipers but there is no tennis, I’m afraid).

Woohoo. My second novel is out today. The Dance of Vipers is a thriller set in Scotland 1517, with a bunch of viperous traitors competing to seize the 5-year-old king. It’s a sequel to The Trail of Blood but can be read as a standalone.

Anyway, will post the link in thread. X

Right?

Ah, can’t be bothered waiting for your replies. Here I go!

Isn’t it time these brave soldiers sold off some of their houses to pay for their beloved armed forces?

This caption is crazy but no crazier than the way the media is focusing on the practicalities of Trump’s plan for Palestine rather than the utter immorality and illegality of it.

Some fun ads for my crime novel The Trail of Blood, though not for the faint-hearted...

My only advice is to keep going and get to (an inevitably terrible) first draft. THEN edit (and keep editing).

If it helps, I also just read this by one of my favourite authors (and much more successful than me!) @dvbishop.com

He’s made my advice half as scary - just focus on getting midway!

“At the end of a storm, there’s a golden sky…”

Or a red one, in our case, looking out over the Isle of Wight. Also, we didn’t really get the storm.

Swap the bird for a butterfly and I reckon this campaign we made for "the other place" 9 years ago would capture the hopes many of us have for BlueSky?

Spooky how life moves full circle...
