This was very unexpected and very nice. Thank you to the @pressgazette.co.uk awards. The brilliant Caroline Wheeler of the Sunday Times rightly won the Politics journalism award and was also named journalist of the year for her tireless work on the infected bloods scandal. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Highly commended for best Politics Journalism is @bethrigby.bsky.social of Sky News for being “always brilliant at holding politicians to account in simple and direct style” #BritishJournalismAwards

Bravo, Harry.
OK sports fans, so this is my last bulletin for my position at @losangelestimes.bsky.social. I resigned yesterday in protest of the paper's and owner's cozying up to Trump. Here's my explanation on my substack, where I hope you will follow me going forward.

Makes me sad re-reading this amazing letter from ex-Watergate Special Prosecutor Archibald Cox sent to high school seniors in 1994 after they asked him “What should Americans learn from Watergate?” 20 years later in ‘94.

His answer is remarkable—unfortunately things didn’t work out so well in 2024.

When I first joined twitter in 2015, it was to share leadership principles, provide national security input based on experiences, and try to be an optimistic contributor.

I strayed from that, but on this new platform I will try to regain that approach.

Thanks for all who have joined me.

I don't agree with Nadine Dorries on much, but she deserves high praise for this. Not only for her bravery, but also her clarity - calling it "an architecture of supression" and zeroing in on the devastating possibility that "it's all about money". ~AA

On Elon Musk’s repeated attacks on Keir Starmer’s government Sky’s @samcoatessky.bsky.social rightly points out

“If we were talking about a figure close to the Kremlin or the government in Moscow we would be asking the question whether this was foreign interference”

Please watch this powerful clip.

This is why sexual abuse is such an abhorrent crime. It is the victims who so often - utterly wrongly - live with shame.

Thank you to Nadine Dorries for speaking to me about being abused, age 9, by a vicar

Saddened to read that John Prescott has died at the age of 86. An inimitable, larger-than-life politician who was, to quote Starmer, a giant of the Labour Party. Rest in peace

Just my 2 cents. But my goal is to ignore the trolls. Give them zero attention. Block them if they annoy me.

I think the worst thing we can do on this site is re-create the ad hominem/ personal attacks that occur across comments on Twitter/insta/tiktok/ etc
