Our first experience of fostering kittens/cats for our local cat rescue started yesterday. They, and we, were a bit nervous at first, but Lady (with the orange stripe) and Fifi (the rag doll) blossomed today. Soon to be available for adoption as a sibling pair.

My top five songs on Spotify for 2024.... not hard to imagine why I'm looking forward to the "Farewell Tour - Road to the Isles" with such anticipation and nostalgia for the last 42 years.

In the early 80s Marillion were my local band. After they split in 1988 I followed the singer (Fish), the band less so. Fish retires in 2025, when I'll be at two gigs, adding to half-a-lifetime of memories 🥲. I also enjoy Stillmarillion who focus on the 80s songs. Great gig at Yardbirds last night!

Memories of summer.... a photo from one of my first walks with the East Yorkshire group of the Long Distance Walkers Association (2022).

Through UK charity Lincs2Nepal, I fund the education of two children from lower case communities, so they can attend Jeevan Jyoti School in Kohalpur, Nepal. The pictures show me with Ritika and Shibam when I visited Kohalpur in May 2023.

Can anyone explain why my "Discovery" feed disproportionately comprises posts about North American sports (American football, basketball, ice hockey, baseball)? Is it something I have inadvertently opted into? How do I change it?
