The learning is what level of performance is needed to be what the World Champions are. And an understanding of where Wales are in the hierarchy. And I think they did turn up.

I don't think anyone is congratulating them. But understanding the magnitude of their task is relevant. South Africa have crushed much better and more experienced teams than this. Effort is one thing. Learning is another.

The real issues are not from today. Letting a great team get old and retire at roughly the same time is the root of it all. And the paucity of funding too.....

As a neutral, Wales have done pretty well to keep it the way they have, but they're absolutely knackered. This is where SA pill away.
