Last weekend was my fifth and final YDA convention before I age out in December, and it was a great time! The Texas delegation was just the best, as always, and Philly did a wonderful job hosting us. Thanks to everyone for such a fantastic visit to end my time in YDA!

2. I was also awarded membership for life, which was truly an honor as well, and I was inducted with a great group of YDs that are either already in party leadership or will be soon.

1. I was awarded the inaugural Bill Brannon Mentorship and Service Award, named after a great fighter in Texas Democratic politics. We lost Bill last year, and I'm grateful to even be mentioned in the same sentence.

Welp, I guess Steak n Shake went full MAGA/MAHA to try and revive their failing business.
I used to love SnS but they started sucking as soon as the current owner bought them. They couldn't even keep the restaurants open near their HQ.
But "healthy" beef tallow. That'll save 'em. 🙄

I postponed a trip home tomorrow to keep from buying gas or anything and if you've been following me for the past week or two, you know why that's hard for me.

I'm truly tired of the Republicans screaming about the debt, as if they aren't a huge part of the problem there. Their strategy of cutting taxes never accomplished anything but ballooning the debt and making the rich even richer.
That trickle down shit really stuck, huh?

7 years since I had to get rid of my first car. Still miss that little powerhouse. It went through a lot. It took me to my first @texasdemocrats.bsky.social convention in 2010, to Los Angeles, to my Dad's house in Missouri, and many other places important to my story. I wonder where it is now.
