A £10 fine for failing to vacate the till within 30 seconds of completing payment seems perfectly reasonable. It should apply to manned tills as well as self-service tills. I don’t have all day to wait for you to pack your stuff painfully slowly or to natter with the checkout staff. Pay up and go.

Thousands of years ago we should have domesticated chimpanzees, not cats and dogs. By now our house chimps would have been doing all our chores. A small percentage would probably turn violent and murder everyone in the house, but a bit of collateral damage wouldn’t outweigh the benefits.

A 240M tall hotel on top of K2 would do it, and climbers would have somewhere nice to stay. The hotel could have a climbing wall up the inside to allow climbers to finish the climb in relative comfort and avoid the worst of the weather. You’re welcome.

The delicious irony of Reform’s apparent popularity is that it will most likely result in a Lab/LD coalition at the next GE, and hopefully a pathway towards another referendum on EU membership. Keep grifting Nige 👍

Before anyone can be classified as a celebrity they should have to pass a simple recognition test. If you can’t be correctly identified by at least 10% of a random selection of 100 people you’re not a celebrity. No exceptions.
