@govwesmoore.bsky.social, please read this article. Maryland inheritance tax should be fixed. Marylanders who don't have children have restricted options for passing generational wealth to family members who are not directly related by blood. Unfair and outdated! This needs to be corrected.

As a DINK who wants to pass on generational wealth, this is an important issue to us. Maryland law needs to be changed to drop the inheritance tax. Having a trust doesn't eliminate the nuclear family provision. It forces a balancing act if 2 trusts are in play. Fix the law and make it fair for all.
