Yet only 1 percent of the roughly 350,000 #chemicals in use in the United States have ever been tested for safety. In its 55-year history, the #EPA has banned or restricted about a dozen (by contrast, the EU has banned more than 2,000).

Some context from 2020: “I’m currently tracking over a half a billion dollars that had been given to outside super PACs to boost Joe Biden in the presidential election, and less than 1 percent of all of that money went to Latino super PACs.”

Given Wong’s vote on City College’s chancellor was apparently key to his labor ties, note AFT2121’s post after the 6–0 vote for Dr. Messina.

It may have been wise for the union’s sole endorsee not to oppose the majority’s choice. AFT 2121’s tone once the outcome was clear suggests as much.

Worth noting for accountability: SF’s elected sheriff is Paul Miyamoto. Next election: 2028.

p.s. SF's longest-serving sheriff Mike Hennessey (1979–2011) wasn’t from law enforcement, but a 1986 state law now requires candidates to be peace officers.

Per U.S. Customs & Border Patrol figures, 20 of its own employees per month on average since Feb '25 have been "arrested, cited, detained, or indicted for violations of law." That rate is typical of recent years.

Is this what they mean by the enemy within?

We'll get 'em "next year" sounds like the rhetoric of a MLB team manager. And I guess that's fine since our food supply is... just a game?
