A beautiful day yesterday, at Selhurst Park in SE25, honouring my dad and watching my beloved Crystal Palace win again. I have a good life up north but my god, I miss this place. The most consistent, constant place throughout my life. Over 50 years of going there and it always feels like coming home

Last night, right before I went to sleep, I typed 150 or so words into my phone & this morning, yep, it’s the start of a new story. Short, long, who knows? But it’s something & it’s bleak & terrifying & not bad at all. And talking of terrifying, also been rehearsing a set for a gig in August…

Suddenly out of nowhere got a hankering for another motorbike. In this weather. I know. Haven’t ridden a bike for about 10 years. Anyway, this was my last one. Must be time for bed now.

Had a lovely day playing around with guitars. So rare to get a day when I can do this. This using my little electro-acoustic Tanglewood Traveller, for them as like guitar talk. Down in my guitar room, work by @stuffbymark.bsky.social behind me on the wall!

Ah, should have scrolled for guitar chat! 😊🎸 Although I don’t think I’ll ever buy another electric. Got my cheapo Epi LP Special and my Gretsch, that’ll do. Far more likely to buy another acoustic. When my ticket comes up I’m heading down to Atkin!
