Simplest way is to give while you live. That way your kids get the benefit when it can make more a more positive impact on their lives and you get the joy of seeing their lives improve

I have sympathy with your point but the difference is that politicians have their futures decided by voters on a regular basis so the alternatives should always be kept in mind - right now the alternatives to Labour are utterly frightening so I’m willing to keep supporting the Govt

It’s context though. Our country’s finances are a mess and will take many years to fix - together public services depend on finances thats a key consideration for evaluating improvements

We need better processes. Playing the mental health card with GPs has become the “ doctor I’ve got a bad back : can I have a sick note “ from the earlier decades to now. No way there’s so many mentally unwell people is society - and that doesn’t mean that there aren’t genuine cases

I agree . I spoke to a trans friend who has undergone the full gender reassignment process ( and to whose views I therefore give a lot of credence) and she doesn’t see an issue with the ruling . There’s just so much ill thought invective on this topic and I wish folks would be fact based

I wish you were correct but sadly it’s isn’t - various reports have estimated it at between £2bn and £6bn : even if we take the median then it would equate to the cuts that this govt is having to make . I will continue to vote Labour as they tackle the difficult issues bequeathed by the Tories
