Relax, Liam. The tour's over now.

Sorry, I guess that's what you're referring to with your coalition wage comment, of course!

Impact of the global crisis, or more precisely impact of the global crisis compounded by the policy response to it (nature of UK's austerity was a bit of a western outlier, wasn't it?). My worry is that's what gets lost a bit in these otherwise telling graphs.

Apparently he championed 'working class rights'. Hmmm. By chanting 'rights for whites', no doubt.

Where I am in North London, lots of the local independent pharmacies seem to have ample stock.
December 10, 2025 at 9:44 AM
When that happened to me it was because my password had become compromised and someone was listening via the web browser (In Poland I think.) change of password fixed it.

My uncle was on the ships in ww2 at 14

Maybe. But that someone is very popular with the membership. Be a lot (more?) resentment if he’s blocked?
December 6, 2025 at 1:01 PM
I think he’d lose too, but I suspect he’d be the most ‘popular’ with the wider electorate compared to anyone else on that list. That’s why I think Burnham needs to be in contention.
December 6, 2025 at 12:36 PM
Burnham has got to be in the mix somehow. Hope he has a plan. Because that list is mainly an election losing one. I don’t care how warm and fuzzy candidates make Labour members feel (I’m one) . It needs to be someone who can tell a story to the country and have a broad appeal.

It’ll be McCullum and Stokes when it happens .
December 6, 2025 at 11:06 AM
Harvey Keitel would struggle to clear that scene up.

Ouch. Worth trying social media sensation , The Original Leak detective ?

Leadership candidates won't go as far as EU accession, but SM and CU ? I think they will have to. One first, then the others. Arms race. It's also how a candidate seen as currently close to the leadership will seek to distance themselves from the current jumbled, unambitious EU policy/stance.

Hardest of hard agrees (a comms person writes…)
November 19, 2025 at 4:12 PM
Did you hear that quote recently about Starmer from an ex-Treasury official ? Something along the lines of ‘he’s the only PM who thinks his politics is a personal matter’ …
November 17, 2025 at 11:51 PM
I think it still will be the case. There’s a Dam waiting to burst
November 17, 2025 at 11:49 PM
I think single market/customs union positions will set any leadership contest alight.

Skinner nominated *David Miliband* in the 2010 leadership election.
November 17, 2025 at 1:57 AM
What's crazy is it feels like you could count on your fingers and toes the number of people in the party that think that way too. How did we get to this?
November 17, 2025 at 12:06 AM
This is very well put , but I also wonder if some of the blame is down to those of us who saw the potential for obvious reasons and overlooked the clear deficiencies. To be fair that Leadership election of early 2020 wasn't exactly one overflowing with ability.
November 14, 2025 at 10:34 AM
There is only one ending now. No chance of improvement, internally or externally. How you go from a majority of 160 plus to this is mind boggling.
November 11, 2025 at 11:01 PM
Sure, although isn’t there an opportunity for a holier-than-thou moment for the govt? ‘This board has failed, shouldn’t be a focus for partisanship. Start again’ . Likewise no idea on mechanisms, but might be wise to nix accusations of partial and partisan culling if poss?
