My process is maximum looseness, but what I do after solidifying the plot beats is write the dialogue, draw the thumbnails, then just draw the final comic over the enlarged thumbnails. No full script. Working on something for too long is the death of me, me I make the process frictionless.

It's not so much about it being lore dense (though Homestuck is) but about the sheer time investment to complete the work as a whole.
