Legitimate question: what’s the most number of different high level NCAA D1 men’s basketball programs that one coach has taken to an NCAA tournament appearance? Because that has got to be Buzz’s endgame here (we all have goals I guess?! 🤷🏻♂️)

The other hilarious context being missed here is no one is asking, “Well why did Daniel Jones leave?” Think about it: if McCarthy QB1 was actually a question, why wouldn’t Jones try to win a starting job here? An objectively better coach/offense/Oline/receivers than Indy? Because he knew, JJ is QB1!

Shaka will find a way to get this team to be competitive. It’s super hard to make S16, E8 & FF, but the tourney is our standard (for now) and he’ll get us there. More important is the consistent excellence he makes his teams play at, that’s what will eventually have us break through! Patience #mubb

Thanks for including the context of the rest of the quote, Emily. Didn’t love the headlines on this because the real story is how incredible our QB’s mentality is. This is why he’s a winner. True leaders know you don’t need to be given the title to act like & be a leader. We’re so lucky to have him.

Well said! Granted I don’t know a lot about the inner workings of Xavier Men’s BB, but I assume it was a great job where he was the big man on campus and had all the support he could want without the pressure of a big school that didn’t understand or appreciate basketball.
