Yea - I don’t think it’s the strongest argument. Look at Utd - some of their players are on ridiculous money and you wouldn’t touch them. Grealish is on 300k/week at City. And Arsenal’s wage bill has definitely increased recently.

They are half of the financials. Wages aren’t going down. Arsenals is probably more like 300M with the renewals and new players. But still 75-80% of Liverpool based on published financials

Nearly half the numbers on Capology that you are sharing are estimated. He’s using actual financials. What’s unclear is the breakdown of standard wage (what we normally reference) vs. individual bonuses vs. team bonuses. Seems clear that Liverpool players earn a lot more

This is from 22/23 season... since then we've resigned Odegaard, White, Saka, Saliba and signed Raya, Calafiori, Merino, Havertz, Rice & Timber... might be a lot different now. Also, 400m/year across 25 players is an average of over 300k/week... there has to be bonuses from winning stuff in there

Palace don’t sit in to defend and probably deserved more than 1 goal. Sporting expect to get a result and didn’t sit in. West Ham also didn’t sit in - Saka almost scored 4v4 and the 2nd goal came with Arsenal building up but WH only had 6 behind the ball.
