A walk around Haughmond Hill this morning, found 10 Crossbill with this 4 showing nicely

Bank Holiday trip with Dad to Ladywalk for Glossy Ibis, fantastic views from riverside screen also good to see a couple of young Lapwing. Then to RSPB Middleton for mega views of a pair of Hobby over fishers & best ever views of a pair of Bittern in flight then landing on pool.

Starting to thaw at Aqualate, small hole in ice containing tufties, wigeon, shoveler, teal & nice views of water rail from hide…too close for decent phone scoped picture! Also Red Kite from car park. @Staffsbirdnews

Nice first day birding of New Year this morning, 16 Shelduck at pool in Church Eaton, the long staying Lesser Scaup at Belvide finished off with a lovely pair of Little Owls near Brewood.
