Birder, Tunbridge Wells, Kent.
I’ve just seen the photo of the North Uist swallow.

Surely not the same bird but the broken tail-streamer makes me wonder!

I really wish I’d got the camera out as the red throat was so obvious in crappy conditions.

I briefly thought ‘yank’ & binned it off thinking they had buffer underparts 🤷🏻‍♂️

Not guilty this time but I guess it’s just one of those grey November days.

I see mist but doubt I’d even see sea even without the ‘sea mist’ here in Tunbridge Wells, if you see what I mean 😢

Less of the young please!

Oh, I keep searching Tunbridge Wells for another yank warbler. I’m not giving up so when you release it please show it a map and tell it where to head off to…

… peak time for them round here now.

Brilliant find, nice one!

63, and counting - wow!

I had a Firecrest at a new site in Tunbridge Wells (Calverley Grounds) today. Goldcrest is still the commoner of the two crests here at the moment however.

These were my first - just after reversing into a telegraph pole at speed. I also saw the singleton in Essex and the Dymchurch birds (five, from memory).

As @johncantelo.bsky.social suggested: not a tick but maybe the best bird I’ve seen - absolute stunners!

Nice one Andrew, a bird I missed in 1993 and would love to have another chance to set my eyes upon! I’m pleased you managed to wander over to Porthloo and ended up delighted rather than delirious.
