On April 15th 1931 mob boss Joe Masseria was gunned down whilst playing cards in a New York restaurant. It is suspected that the ace of spades was placed in his hand after death.

I keep thinking now I would like to be in a dark jazz/ sleaze-lounge/ downtempo/Lynchian band called Boudoir Dolls that has early Josef Fenneker/Bellocq- Storyville/Brassai etc art/photography on the record sleeves but alas I cannot play any musical instruments or sing in tune ... But anyway ...
