A fact of life that will never get easier to swallow is that highly unqualified people are paid double my salary to be a manager and do half the work.

My side hustle always serves as a reminder to appreciate the health I currently have and that things could always be worse (in the moment at least). Today I’ll try to focus on the here & now and save my worries for our futures for another day.

Social media has enabled people who’d do or say anything to be part of the “cool kids club”. When you couple that dynamic with wealth and power, you have a lethal combination. The absence of compassion & empathy in these people is a given.

I’ve been having convos with many of my minority coworkers about the election.To many of them, this is just another bump in the long road of a life of living with injustice. They accept it & keep living their lives the best way they know how - in survival mode. Many have mentioned that God has them.

So I just followed a democracy starter pack but I still need my peeps who’ve battled narcissism on a personal level. Hopefully we can get through the next 4 years together.

Take it as a compliment when your Gen Z child chooses to borrow your stuff. It means you still “got it going on”.

Listen, many have spent the better part of 8 years trying to reason with and show MAGA the truth about that awful guy. Don’t waste your energy. The ONLY thing that might change their minds is being slapped with some life-changing things caused by him.

Leaving the swamp for blue skies. Also choosing to spend my money with businesses that don’t support the idiocy. Focusing on what I CAN control & going into survival mode. How are you coping?
