What is maximum deficit you would accept to fund the new military obligations? The internal growth concept has a lot of holes. We can build more housing but we make almost none of the value add anymore...white goods as it were so where is the tax base coming from?

If liberals move on supply mgmt for this round i would expect a splintering of the cabinet and a possible fall of the federal gov't. What we need to level is intellectual property structures.

How else can you explain the resultant forward 'offside' position that the Canadian player ended up in? Upright. Well away from the guy he ran over because he played the body and not the ball.

No it is a clear foul. Canadian guy didn't try for the ball whatsoever. The slo_mo makes it look like he was avoiding but at normal time you can see the forward over reach upper body lunge well after ball is gone. It is as though it would gave been a clear out hockey hit if there were boards.

The genesis and creation of ideas could be validated almost like having Alt TxT exerts of sources present. It matters less that final drafts are AI edited for clarity and quality before submission compared to the integrity and basis for how those ideas build upon facts and history of a topic?

Could this be solved in that papers should follow code management methods whereby date history of the work and reference citings would be placed in a repository throughout the generation of the effort? And the outline of that repository would have to be submitted along with the paper?

Tighter integration with Erasmus program. Would also like to improve cultural touring aspects to simplify flow of artists visa processing between europe and canada, could support schengen pre_clearance at some airports.

My variant on funding for science is improved national strategy for all higher education and apprenticeship to stop the erosion of those systems. Have to get so many govts coordinated but i think everything like NSERC, SSHRC needs streamlining with industrial plan for the economy.

Based on home town, that switch is sticky. The appeal of NDP and progressive side just doesn't have the same pull. I think it is that folks perceive the switch did no harm to them and at the least let them play at the table.

Growing up, i was in NDP blue_collar country in Southern Ontario. The NDP lock was intense provincially, federally and even municipally. In the Liberal provincial decline it switched Conservative. The other labour rich areas with car plants have caught up and now went to the Conservatives.

I too worry that this is a Bidenesque pause. If the campaign was one week longer, the pivot of the Conservative ads was strong towards the Liberal memory, Danielle Smith and Poilievre were pacified and told to be quiet and Trump diminished in our immediate awareness may have produced Poilievre.

No one who watches or understands hockey needs bling chaos cameras or hyper announcers. Sorry, but broadcasters try to hype story instead of allowing the game...far more intense than the stop and go action of nfl or nba ... to be the magnificent show that it is.

And this is the deputy leader of the PCP and once leader of that party? A sure hope this is the American citizen part of his dual citizenship that thought this was a clever idea. His best decision was resigning after losing the 2019 the election. Sadly he still lingers.

The Carney rally in Calgary must have been managed by an airline sponsor of the strategists : overbooked. To the several hundred of my fellow line up folk who were only offered a patch of grass for seating on the outside, soldier on!

Interesting though as we up exports from tmx for heavy oil and lng canada .. whereever that gets shipped it could displace American cargo and thus worsen usa trade numbers with asian countries. We will be a blip in supply to start but in this tariff era we could find good spot markets.

Oversold side at present are gas rich plays in BC and Montney especially with lng canada coming up. That these firms can spin profit at current prices in AECO is bonkers.

I sure hope all these infrastructure and potential megaprojects require higher domestic manufacturing so all those apprentices get on the tools. Calgary lost pressure vessel, industrial equipment manufacturing jobs yet strangely the oil industry outsourced work overseas in many cases.
