This week's #ScreenshotSaturday is a throwback to a prototype of a dungeon tower defense game I made last year. I would love to revisit this sometime when I'm done with Hexx.

Spending the time to write an immediate-mode UI for my game engine is paying off nicely. I wanted a live view of the board's underlying data, and whipped up some code in about 10 minutes.

(It's the black box on the left, the numbers represent what's on each tile)

I worked on Hexx's "start the game" animation today. Still needs polish, but I wanted to make some decent progress before shifting gears to Ludum Dare next weekend.
