I have an app for @nileane.fr to try that might solve stickies disappearing! I use Tot like sticky notes, where I quickly jot down tasks, or when I need to quickly write out notes on a call. It has 7 colour-coded sections to keep it organised, sits in the menu bar, it's free and it's cute!
