Iapyx is Icarus' little brother & replacement in the Elysian Program. He's not as much a fighter as Icarus was, but very gifted in healing for ATLAS

He's also got lots of issues that come to a head when he meets Icarus 10 years after his father killed him.

LibreOffice is a really good word substitute but I don't think I could use it for anything longer than a novella. Scrivener's more of an organizer with doc writing capabilities imo, this is my current scrivener set up for writing:

Honestly the entirety of Incorrect Eyes. I re-wrote and expanded the entire thing! But I really like this section's revision:
Images pop unbidden into my mind: Angels as we knew them growing up, human-like and innocent. But now They have tears of viscous blood streaming down Their faces as They grovel before His throne, screaming and begging for His warmth. Seraphim and Cherubim just behind Them, blocking the pathetic Angels in, forcing Them to submit to His holy gaze. Their screams harmonize in the worst ways, ringing through my mind and spilling through my ears. The mind-numbing pain They cause is only worsened as my eyes are drawn further down the page. Woe is me for I am ruined [must be silent] because I am a man of unclean lips and live among a people of unclean lips, and because my eyes have seen the King, the Lord of Hosts. Unclean, unclean, *unclean*. The word repeats in my mind, tearing through the chorus of terror put forward by the Angels. I am unclean, just like he was. I live among people with unclean Eyes, just as he with lips. He—I—*we* are RUINED. My mind conjured the image of the next paragraph. Of the Seraphim flying towards me—Isaiah—*us *holding a glowing coal by means of a pair of tongs. From the altar is comes. As it lays the burning stone in my eyes, it speaks: Now that this has touched your lips, your wickedness is removed and your sin is atoned for. Then I scream.

He's a seminary dropout, but a country boy thru and thru. A mechanic's son, he's always got his hands in *something*. Including in my brain and forcing me to rotate him on a spit in my mind!

While Kit himself doesn't go out of his way to make his nausea worse, he also doesn't do anything to make it better, leading himself into a sort of catch-22.

Icky baby boy... Icarus is the MC of the Call Me Icarus series and he's a gay trans man!

He's a pain in the ass and the messiest man I've ever had the pleasure of writing. An absolute menace on page that I cannot stop thinking about ever!

One piece of recurring inagery in the Call Me Icarus series is the Greater Cleveland Aquarium and their touch tank that nornally has horseshoe crabs in it! (normally being when i'm not there, apparently, because they hid the crabs from me ☹️☹️☹️)

According to the map, most of the state has been covered in forest and National Parks and he doesn’t know how to mesh that information with what he was taught at the Academy. “Icarus, come look at this!” Achilles calls from the next room over. He takes a photo of the map with his phone, making a mental note to check it out later, before jogging into the next room. Andromeda is already there, looking at what Icarus assumes Achilles wants him to see. There’s a large round table in the center of the room. Or, no, not a table. It’s a glass pool, the clear sides allowing you to see the contents easily. Andromeda leans halfway into the pool, with Achilles standing next to them and watching over their shoulder. As Icarus walks closer he can see why, there’s something in the pool. In the clear water, there is a brown… thing. It looks like a very large rock but as Andromeda reaches for it, it moves. It scuttles along the floor of the pool, puffing up sand in its wake. “What the fuck is that?” Icarus asks, confused and a little disgusted. He doesn’t like the creature at all, it sets something off in the back of his mind that screams ‘UNSAFE, UNSAFE’. “According to the information over there,” Achilles points as a pedestal on the other side of the pool. “It’s a horseshoe crab.”
