IMO the US being less ready willing and able to wipe out a billion people and kick off a losing world war isn't the worst thing about to happen to the US. We're achieving our worst case scenarios right here at home.

This kind of thing is why I've avoided the news cycle of the first 30 days. Battles like this are going to be happening everywhere and mostly behind the scenes.

Also the fuel if used in a turbine to generate power is used a lot more efficiently than moving a piston. Turbines are better. It is known.

When people evacuate from a fast moving fire we *want* them to leave their car wherever it was.
We *want* them to say to themselves "I'll take care of it later" our common sense should be tingling here, and yet... somehow... the boot just tasted too good for you not to deepthroat it.

I've actually lived through the chaos of major wildfire evacuations more than once, and helped law enforcement who WEREN'T being as useful as a burst appendix help people get out.
Your common sense, if you had any, would be tingling that filling out parking tickets in an ember storm is stupidity.
