At any other event I would have loved to see the representation of all the historical uniforms and the birds/tanks. I wish they'd refused based on they can't express a political view while in uniform - this birthday spectacle was absolutely political.

There is no expectation of privacy out in public spaces. Some people are blurring out faces, while some protestors are wearing masks, glasses, hats, etc. As long as propaganda lies about the scale of protests, people will be getting the word out by sharing media.

@50501movement.bsky.social I thought you all had the sense to *not* give Trump the free photoshop crowd of protestors as participants at his + US Army bday parade. Protesting on the 14th was shot down on practically every subReddit thread for this reason. Before or after but not day of.

It's also the US Army's birthday and the parade is including them. Last thing we want is people to think we're not supporting service members.

I wish they'd stuck with the original plan of grey-rocking his birthday parade. It'll just look like we're dissing the US Army bday/Flag Day if protestors turn up in DC, while also giving him bigger crowds to claim for himself.
