Unfair on spin dryers, at least they perform a useful function. Truss is more like the occasional annoying rattle in one of our radiators but at least that stops if I hit it. If I tried that with Truss one of her protection officers - currently costing us £900,000 a year - would, rightly, intervene.

According to AI, which is always right, the most he could hope to win in a defamation case is £100K. Might pay for a golden shitter for his new ballroom.

Pretty much every time Starmer or one of his ministers opens their mouths they dig their graves a little deeper. Their incompetence and ineptitude are off the scale, I can barely bring myself to watch this car crash.

#Wimbledon I think

Likewise! I hope he becomes a permanent fixture.

Doing quite well now, long way to go assuming he comes back

From this side of the Atlantic it looks like the democrats have given up altogether. Is Schumer as bad as he seems?

Zero chance of that happening. The only way the poisonous orange blob will leave the White House is in a coffin.

Their laser focus on policies which seem designed specifically to piss off anyone left of centre might have something to do with it. Starmer hasn't got it and will never get it, he's got to go.

Send the nasty little fucker your Mars podcast and he'll realise the whole endeavour is pointless.

Starmer has zero political judgement. He's an over-promoted lawyer and administrator. If Labour don't want to lose all their voters to the Libdems, Reform and Greens they need to dump him and the sorry crew around him. Problem is, are there any credible alternatives in the party?

Not so much poor as zero political judgement. He's an over-promoted lawyer and administrator. If Labour don't want to lose all their voters to the Libdems, Reform and Greens they need to dump him and the sorry crew around him. Problem is, are there any credible alternatives in the party?

Politically he isn't anything. He was a good lawyer and administrator but he has zero political nous. The fact he keeps McSweeny in place and can't see his limitations demonstrates that. He's also lacks most of the qualities leaders need. And IMO the freebies inflicted terminal damage, he should go.

To be fair, most Americans think Scotland and Ireland are English regions. They're hardly aware that Wales exists at all.

This stinks of Mandelson.
April 29, 2025 at 8:37 PM
The larger problem is that Starmer either can't see this or won't admit that McSweeney is in the wrong job. Starmer is an effective lawyer and administrator but he's no party leader.
