Yeah! The Mimbres School is an interdisciplinary school and intellectual community that operates outside of traditional academia. We run courses, reading groups, and workshops with a critical, empirical approach. We are critical of canonical texts, received wisdom, and disciplinary boundaries.

We really need to fight this one. The worst Carney gets, the more latitude current and future Conservative governments will have to do even worse. I'm sure Ford is feeling much more hopeful about future confrontations with the teachers, for example.

The way the media acts like unions are the ones to blame for making choices and the employers and government aren't is so bizarre to me. Government and employers screw things up (and have executives who can be shown to be accountable!) and unions represent the collective interests of their members.

It's going right next to Haitian Connections on my bookshelf - so it's just as easy to reference often!

I'm probably going to cite Blanqui in my dissertation - how would you like me to mention that I found it because of you (via Colin)?

When I ponder the questions related to this, I always think of Freud.
