I hope that one day there’s a mechanism to just watch old repeats of 90s tv. I want to watch MTV’s Most Wanted with Ray Cokes like I watch Top of The Pops repeats on iplayer.

It screams, “we thought this show was just going to be a one off novelty to fill a gap in the tv schedule. Had we have realised how popular it was going to be, we’d have come up with a different name.”

To add even more convolution, it requires you to know why the film Strictly Ballroom is called that ie, the line in the film “it’s not strictly ballroom” in reference to the character’s forbidden steps. So it basically a riff on the old tv show, but with the adage, it’s not “strictly come dancing”.
