Beautiful camera. I'm mostly jealous because you still have a "local camera shop". The last one near me closed 10 years ago.

I wish it defaulted to private. It would make declaring methods public make more sense. And while I'm wishing for things that will never happen, I'd love to use "pub" like Rust does. Save me some keystokes 😁

As a developer, whatever IDE I use, favorite terminal, and a task launcher like Raycast. That's the core for me. Everything else is just personal preference for one app over another. Very few tweaks needed for day to day. I think things like installing language SDKs are fairly similar across OSes.

100% agree. Not my normal fair and it's a bit cruder than I typically enjoy, but like you said, it's "oddly compelling" and I'm eagerly awaiting the newest book that comes out next month. Princess Donut must be protected at all costs :D

I got into Snooker later in life and coming from a pool background, it was daunting. Staring down the length of a large Snooker table contemplating potting a smaller ball into a tiny pocket a million miles away... I'm amazed every time I watch the pros play. The accuracy is off the charts.

I spent a year living up near the tea fields in/around Limuru and also went down into Rift Valley a lot where you could really see the sky open up. Plus other trips all over Kenya. This was back in 2000ish

Nice! Looks like Maasai Mara, Lake Turkana, Nairobi and a lot of stops along the A109. When I lived there, that road was dirt all the way to Mombasa. We had to cover our faces or choke on dirt and dust that came through all the car's vents and gaps in the body work 😂

I grew up in Kenya and it's one of the things I miss the most. You could just SEE the Milky Way with the naked eye.
