Just finished book #5 for the year and what a great read it was! The Shock Doctrine by @naomiaklein.bsky.social This book is a serious wake up call to the nefarious tactics our government has been using for decades in the name of unfettered capitalism! Extremely relevant to the current govt takeover

Book #4 for the year completed! Sapiens: A Brief History of Humankind by Yuval Noah Harari. As the title suggests, this book covers A LOT! From pre-homo sapiens up to the future of our species, there is a ton going on in this book and it will get you to think about the bigger picture!

Book #3 for the year. March by John Lewis. This is a graphic novel for kids and part of my daughter's curriculum. Tells the story of John Lewis' beginnings. Great Black History Month read and just the kind of book a lot of school districts across the country are banning. Important American history!

Book #2 for the year is "in the books". Excellent read by @nathanjrobinson.bsky.social gives well-reasoned, logical and thoughtful responses to some of the most common conservative talking points. Looking forward to my next conversation with my Trumpy neighbors already!

Quick trip to Vegas to catch the Isles play the Knights! Isles win 4 - 0! The fans in Vegas were great and the Knights put on the best show in the NHL!
