So glad I assigned big chunks of Ida Tarbell’s History of the Standard Oil Company. It totally slaps. And it’s completely resonant with the attitudes of so many tech overlords today.

Speaker of the council (who is a member of the inability committee) has already said she believes it is meant to be used for health related incapacities, not as a tool to respond to malfeasance. (Said this in October)

Hate this rhetoric. The attacks on immigrants aren’t a distraction. They’re an end in and of themself, part of the way that Trump and Vance plan to govern, as much as the tax cuts.

Key is the purple, which is the Yang coalition of Asian voters + Orthodox/Hasidic voters. The reason Garcia got so close was that she got a sizable share of those votes when Yang was eliminated (as a result of her late alliance with Yang). Map has confusingly swapped Garcia's and Wiley's colors
