Traveler, librarian and raconteur. I enjoy photograhy and writing.
Imagine being like steel magnate Andrew Carnegie who used his wealth to build libraries, schools and Carnegie Hall.

Pundits constantly say Democrats should have listened to what voters wanted. It turns out that Republicans weren’t listening either.

A lot of them would not want to go.

In Trumpworld fealty to Trump is the definition of merit.

I’m afraid they will sell it the same
way they have convinced many people who like the Affordable Care Act that it’s OK to abolish “Obamacare,”

Dilbert used to be funny and occasionally spot-on. But I gave up reading the strip after Scott Adams said Dilbert supported Trump in 2016.

I enjoy your satires. But as Musk has taken over the Treasury and USAID. I can’t agree we have made it through the first two werks of Trump.

At least the Library of Congress is in the Congressional Branch, not the Executive. Congress likes the library, a good thing.

I recall conversing with an African-American woman on a flight some years ago. She had just completed air traffic controller school and was very excited about her upcoming job. I wonder what became of her and if she is still working.

Local news in Washington is reporting the military helicopter was on a training flight from nearby Fort Belvoir, Virginia. Washington, DC, airspace is very busy and you see helicopters flying overhead all the time. Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling is just across the river from DCA.

Because the DC first responders are leading the rescue effort. Also, the two aircraft crashed into the Potomac River which is entirely in DC. (Yes, the river touches Virginia but no part of it is in Virginia. The DC-Virginia boundary is the Potomac shoreline.)

True, different experiences gives us different perspectives on things. BTW, your exhibit on Tmbuktu sounds really interesting. A place I’d long wanted to visit.

I think you are overthinking this. I did library tech help as part of my job and now as a volunteer in retirement. You just go with it, smile, and on to assist the next patron.
