Saints from both congregations attended the installation service—as well as many of the pastors in my circuit. It was a day filled with joy and encouragement. Adjusting to the joint parish will take some time, but I’m very grateful for this new arrangement and excited for what comes next!

Shepherd of the Valley has been vacant for over ten years and can’t afford a full-time pastor. But by partnering together with Lord of Life, they were able to call me as their shared pastor.

Yesterday, I was installed as pastor of Lord of Life Lutheran Church (Kamloops) and Shepherd of the Valley Lutheran Church (Salmon Arm). Lord of Life, my first call, had been negotiating a joint parish agreement with Shepherd of the Valley throughout 2024.
