Dad to 2, husband to 1. Governor at 2 schools. Beyond privileged to be Safeguarding, Ambition and Inclusion Lead for @FocusTrust1. Living out my passions daily for SEND, SEMH, Safeguarding and Digital Technology.
One foot in front of the other, watching nature go by as the world wakes up. I’ve recently prioritised family and work. This morning’s run was overdue, and greatly needed. Prioritising yourself lets you give more to your other priorities. #mentalhealth #wellbeing #selfcare

So impressive to see at Wilsden Primary — a boy with autism has started a lunchtime club where children share their difficulties, strengths, questions and answers. They help each other to regulate and offer understanding, friendship and support. 💙 #Inclusion #AutismAcceptance

I remember this like it was yesterday. It demonstrates the value of inter-generational projects. It also sums up my beautiful daughter. Always happy chatting away; she still talks about Dot. Today we go to look at secondary schools. Time moves fast. Don’t waste a day.

When used right, the power of Digital Technology can be transformative. Proud to have qualified as an #MIEE for 2025-2026

Looking around secondary schools for daughter’s application deadline of the 31st. Best part so far, a school declaring everything they do wonderfully, only for the pupils to say it doesn’t normally happen.

If this is true, this is wonderful and huge respect to @BrentfordFC. Phoning fans to check in on their mental health: That’s not just football done right—that’s humanity done right. This should be the standard for all of us. 💛

This week I read this book. @katrionaos I wanted to say “Thank you”. The deeply personal story you shared was inspirational.

It’s so important, sometimes, to stop being busy and have a break. No excuses. And there’s no where better than the seaside 🌅☀️🌊🐚🦀

Doesn’t seem to matter how long I’ve taught for, there’s nothing quite as stressful as hosting your son’s eighth birthday party.

I’m really looking forward to our final SENDCo forum of the year, tomorrow…this quote pretty much sums it up #inclusion #SENDCo #ShapingFutures #MakingADifference #care #dare #fair #share

Yesterday, my parents took my children on a tour of where I was born. The houses we lived in and the school I went to while we lived in Bradford, up until I was 8. When I told one she’d see the school I went to, she asked “Is it a museum now?”. I think she thinks I’m a Victorian!

Artificial Intelligence brings many advantages to educators, but also brings dangers. It's crucial educators engage, feel the benefits and enhance education safely. It is great to see @educationgovuk engage and create support materials and guidance and @CharteredColl certifying.

Perfect Father’s Day. Walk across Ilkley Moor, fish and chips. A special time with family. #WhetherbyWhaler #Ilkley #Yorkshire #Family

Loved watching Lilo and Stitch at the cinema yesterday. This quote instantly struck a chord - this should be at the centre of every school's culture. With this as the basis, true #inclusion can begin. The second quote might be true, but "still good".

Today's @bbcradio2bot.bsky.social Pause for Thought by Cole Morton today was wonderful. "Love can cast out fear". Our most vulnerable children, often the ones who demonstrate challenging behaviours are scared. The thing they need most of all, is love. www.bbc.co.uk/sounds...

Following a brilliant assembly by @wilsdenprimary this morning about physical and mental health, I’ve taken the inspiration to go for a run tonight. I’m sure the peace will come, once the pain subsides 😂 #Wellbeing

Today's breakthrough, courtesy of @IAmMarkManson was spot on. As educationalists, how often do we say we don't have time? But really, is it our priorities that we need to think about...

What did I learn about myself during COVID? That when everything is going wrong, all you need is a biscuit?!

Five years ago today, I started week 4 of #couchto5k . It was my first time ever out of the garden after three weeks of going around the garden. Exercise was a revelation for me. My health is better, my mind if more organised and I LOVE it when I get someone joining me #run

Heavy frost, sun rising, refreshing (aka freezing) air. I love early morning runs as a way to clear my head and wake my body. Ready for what the day brings. #run #running #freshair #mindfulness #wellbeing

This was a reality of my journey into COVID, five years ago…there were also a lot of crisps.

Amazing to be in #Bradford today with the kids. The newly pedestrianised areas made it easier and safer. The developments in Bradford Live have already brought change. The history and culture breathtaking: “I come from hope. I come from Bradford”. @bradford2025.co.uk

Such an informative session, led by @helenrowland.bsky.social, about the amazing work of Papyrus and the sad reality and statistics of suicide in young people. Papyrus is an amazing charity. Times can get dark, but there is always #Hope

It is wonderful to see these signs at Horsforth train station today. Thank you to @samaritans.bsky.social, letting people they aren’t alone when they feel the most alone. Also prompted a discussion with my children, so hopefully they know they’re never alone. #MentaI-ill-health
