I suppose THE AVIATOR is probably my least favorite of his movies but it's still pretty good. Unbelievable quality and consistency from our beloved Mr. Scorsese over all these years

Judd Hirsch is so wonderful in it plus that scene when Sutherland tells Moore that he doesn't think he loves her anymore. Powerful stuff from a movie that I thought would be cliche'd and populist. A lovely film.

I had a similar feeling when I re-watched it last year. I hadn't seen it since the theater and it was much better than I remembered. Unique vision and storytelling. An exciting movie

I've seen similar things happen to Seattle. A whole different world from the 80's and 90's when I was a kid. Tech big business came in and raised the prices of everything. And now Amazon is firing employees and replacing them with AI/robotics. These corporations ruin cities.

The fact that the rich are connected to the destruction of the environment, the rising of housing prices, and now their devotion to AI (which is inherently anti worker)...why do we put up with the wealthy at all?

ANORA and PEARL both stand out in my mind as well. BABYLON is a pretty great answer though. AFTERSUN is legit too

The endings of the 2022 trio of TAR, THE FABELMANS, and BABYLON are legit all-timers. I love all three of those films while understanding the critiques about them (except TAR which I think is probably the best film of the last 20 years)
