and/or be unable to walk, would become seriously ill if they tried to walk, or only walk a small distance with severe discomfort. Assuming this level of DLA is correct it is appalling to be spreading such malicious rumours about such a severely sick child.

To qualify for this level of care component she must be needing round the clock supervision and/or end of life care. For the mobility component, they also must be completely blind or severely sight impaired,

I am unsure where this value of £800 for a disabled child with anxiety comes from? For DLA for a child the highest care component is £110.40 a week and the higher mobility is £77.05 a week. That makes £749.80 a month.

Just booked mine. Apparently the more controversial stuff is not going to be discussed as that needs legislation. Sounds like another fix to me.

What urgently needs reform is the DWP that is not fit for purpose! The errors, the delays, and the assessors whose dodgy reports are tantamount to fraud. If Starmer wanted change and to help the disabled get jobs he would do away with this crumbling rotten department and launch a public inquiry!

All that these austerity cuts will achieve will be driving the working disabled out of the workforce. Those who require paid carers will be forced to cut back and rely on family and friends to give up their work to become unpaid carers. There are already so many unpaid, unrecognised young carers!

Thank you for speaking out, but it's the Labour leadership shouting the loudest with these falsehoods. A promise was made in the manifesto that those who can't work would be supported. Instead they are facing cuts.

Plus cuts to PIP could force people to give up their paid carers. In order to save money we could be about to see a massive upsurge in unpaid carers

Sorry I'm trying to write, but it's too overwhelming. I find focusing on the illness and my situation a massive trigger so my usual coping is to block it out. At the same time if I don't fight for myself and everybody else then who will.
